Our Project

In-house Industries - Expansion for Art & Craft

Over recent years, Green Passion has been actively involved in charity fairs and initiated numerous sale visits at local institutions of different levels. The market potentials are boundless and we have lots of opportunities to expand on our contacts.

To facilitate our future expansionary plans for our art and craft project, the following areas will be our main focus:

Recruiting Volunteers

Various aspects that we would wish to see in them are:

  • Having full commitment for volunteerism works at SIA-MINDS EDC.

  • Able to explore and create new range of green products using recyclable or scrape resources.

  • Develop the confidence and ability to impart the necessary skills to our trainees while engaging in handicraft productions.

Sourcing of Materials

Once, we are able to identify the potential range of items for our prospective clients, the sourcing for materials will come from:

  • Local, as well as overseas suppliers such as Malaysia, etc.

  • The MINDS thrift-shops can constantly provide us with the necessary or main source of craft materials.

  • Sponsors from various private enterprises, if any.

Tie-up Opportunities

Next, we will explore some possible areas of tie-up between student volunteers and our trainees, such as:

  • Helping MINDS trainees build a 'tangible' vocation in which they have produced for sales.

  • Promoting the educational, rehabilitative and therapeutic benefits of artwork for the disabled.

  • Assisting our trainees in obtaining financial assistance and independence.

  • Enable our trainees to become more aware of their innate talents and need for expression, as well as their potential contributions to society.

  • Enable them to become more environmentally conscious by producing a wide range of environmental crafts, which have practical function.

  • Collaboration in organizing sale visits to schools or the involvement of fair or exhibition when opportunities arise.
