About Us

Background

Green Passion (formerly known as Green Minds) is a pilot project launched in January 1997. It aims to develop a marketable income-generating trade that can be produced by MINDS trainees.

Our Employment Development Centre provides vocational training, social skills training and sheltered employment for intellectually disabled persons who are 18 years and above. This training further develops their potential and prepares them for open employment and integration into society.

Mission

To provide our trainees with opportunities to seek financial aid or independence through their handicrafts make out of recyclable materials.

Objectives

  • To become a sustainable in-house industry based on economic, ecological and educational principles.

  • To help trainees build a more gratifying vocation in which they can take pride in the end products that they have produced for sale.

  • To provide an alternative skills and creativity learning experience for the development of high functioning ID persons who could never be placed out for open employment for various reasons.

  • To produce a wide range of environmental crafts with practical functions produced by our MINDS trainees.
